Okay, not really Waldo but Joyce Andersen and friends. Will they be on the “World Famous” Central School lawn or across the street in Town Hall? Only those unpredictable Weather Deities know for sure. One thing we can tell you though is the show will go on…rain or shine. I would like to thank all the volunteers, who put this concert series together this year. A great line up! I was at the Joyce Anderson concert tonight, but I left early because all the little children were very distracting. I understand the difficulty with the venue being inside but if I could make a suggestion….have the MC announce to parents that children can move about on the side near the window or in the back. My children are older now, but I brought them to many, many concerts over the years and I always made sure we were respectful to the performers, even if it meant dancing in the back of venues with my children. Again, thank you for providing local entertainment for the community.
Kathleen, thanks so much for taking the time to send your thoughtful comments. You are not the only one who found last night somewhat distracting and I for one feel badly that is was enough to make you walk out. That should not have happened. Please do not let it discourage you from attending future shows, though! The HSN group is taking your concerns very much to heart and already discussing how to make these concerts enjoyable for everyone there…kids, adults and performers alike. Thanks again for your support.
